Friday April 25th

One of the things that we talk about a lot around the Eleven office is cover songs and tribute bands.   And we’re not talking about your average bar bands (though there is certainly something to be said for a great bar band!), we’re talking about bands like This Must Be The Band.  The Chicago-based Talking Heads tribute is unparalleled, often at their shows they will take requests and they are never stumped, no matter how obscure the Talking Heads tune, you can bet they know it.  What started as a Thanksgiving tradition for the band, a full rendition of the Jonathon Demme classic concert film “Stop Making Sense”, is coming to St. Louis on Friday.  If you’ve never seen “Stop Making Sense” stop reading this right now and go watch.  If you have, you know how cool this will be.

The Pageant
8:00pm
$12

Here’s a little clip from the original

Saturday April 26th

Rounding out a full Pageant weekend, Slightly Stoopid hits the joint on Saturday, but that’s not important.  What’s important is the opener.  Mariachi El Bronx doesn’t make many stops through these parts, so it’s usually worth the effort to catch them.  Here’s why:
