What's Happening Around Town tonight?

Eleven's "What's Happening" for the weekend is back!  There are a bunch of cool things happening around town this weekend, starting tonight with the Talib Kweli lecture this evening, read more about that here

But there's more!

Tonight at the Sheldon, Todd Snider will also be speaking and playing his guitar.  Snider is one of the best songwriters around these days and his laid-back and don't let his easy going attitude and humor fool you, he can be just poignant as he is funny.  Tonight, not only will he be playing, but he'll be doing a Q+A about his life, his new book, I Never Met A Story I Didn't Like and his life on the road as a barefootin' hippie folk singer.

Where: Sheldon Theater
When: 8pm
How Much: $25

Latin Jazz great Pancho Sanchez will posting up at Jazz At The Bistro all weekend and that is well checking out.  There is not better spot in St. Louis for a date than a night at The Bistro listening to some great salsa, is there?

Where: Jazz At The Bistro
When: 2 shows, 7:30 & 9:30 Thursday, Friday and Saturday
How Much: $38

While we're on the more traditional stuff, like folk and jazz, how about a little Blues?  Head down to The Broadway Oyster Bar for St. Louis stalwarts, The Bottoms Up Gang, led by guitarist and Eleven contributor Jeremy Segel-Moss. Now that spring has sprung, it's time to enjoy some shows outside!

Where: Broadway Oyster Bar
When: 9pm-1am

We'll have more stuff happening this weekend tomorrow!
